Jhpiego Tanzania is recruiting a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Intern for the BEAT Breast Cancer Project in Zanzibar, covering Unguja and Pemba Islands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support data collection, entry, cleaning, analysis and reporting for breast-cancer screening, diagnosis and patient-navigation services.
  • Assist Integrated Reproductive and Child Health facilities and District Health Management Teams with data quality and timely reporting.
  • Participate in data-verification visits and routine monitoring activities.
  • Support healthcare providers in documentation and use of data-collection and reporting tools.
  • Track confirmed breast-cancer patients to support continuity of care and patient navigation.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, summaries and visualizations.
  • Support digital health systems and databases including ZanEMR, DHIS2, SharePoint, Power BI and Excel.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with background or training in biostatistics, public health or M&E.
  • Minimum 1 year of health-program M&E experience.
  • Strong familiarity with digital health/data tools and willingness to travel within Zanzibar.
