Job Description
Plan International is seeking a qualified and experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to support its programme operations in Nkasi, Tanzania.
The role will focus on the effective implementation of day-to-day supply chain activities to support programme and project delivery, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with donor requirements as well as Plan International’s policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, supply chain planning, fleet management, supplier payments, asset management, safety and security coordination, and supervision of relevant administrative support staff.

Role Purpose
The Supply Chain Coordinator will oversee and support daily supply chain activities within the programme area to ensure efficient project implementation and service delivery.
The role will also ensure that procurement, logistics, fleet, asset, and administrative activities comply with Plan International policies, donor regulations, and applicable organisational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for:

Managing the programme area procurement function and ensuring proper implementation of supply chain policies and procedures.

Supporting effective procurement planning and monitoring for programmes and projects.

Coordinating fleet management activities.

Ensuring suppliers are paid on time for goods, works, consultancy assignments, and services delivered.

Maintaining accurate property and fixed asset registers.

Supporting safety and security management within the programme area.

Supervising drivers and the Administrative Assistant.

Ensuring procurement activities are properly planned, tracked, and documented.

Supporting efficient use and management of organisational resources.

Ensuring compliance with donor procurement guidelines and Plan International procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

At least four (4) years of practical experience in a similar position.

Professional qualification and registration with the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB).

Demonstrated progressive experience in similar procurement, logistics, or supply chain roles.

Strong understanding of procurement rules and guidelines applicable to different donor-funded grants.
