Job Description
Mixx by Yas is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to support the security, resilience, and protection of its technology infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, and digital financial services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining secure technology environments, managing cybersecurity tools and controls, monitoring and responding to security incidents, strengthening cloud and infrastructure security, and ensuring compliance with recognized cybersecurity standards and regulations.
This position requires strong technical expertise in cybersecurity engineering, threat management, infrastructure security, cloud security, identity and access management, security automation, and incident response.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
-
Minimum of five (5) years of professional cybersecurity experience.

Relevant cybersecurity industry certifications.

Experience in container security and API security.
-
Strong knowledge of threat modeling and security automation.

Experience working with SOAR platforms.

Knowledge and practical understanding of Zero Trust architecture.
Core Responsibilities
-
Design, implement, and maintain secure architectures for applications, infrastructure, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Implement security hardening measures and manage cybersecurity tools including Firewalls, SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, and PAM solutions.

Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including forensic analysis and recovery activities.

Manage security patching, vulnerability remediation, and security updates across systems, applications, and infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with recognized cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements including ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.

Manage identity and access controls, including user provisioning, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), privileged access management, and regular access reviews.

Strengthen cloud environments through appropriate security controls, monitoring, secure configurations, and security management practices.

Conduct security assessments and provide technical recommendations to improve the organization’s overall cyber resilience.

Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and collaborate with relevant teams on incident investigations, prevention initiatives, and security improvements.

Provide cybersecurity guidance and training on secure coding, infrastructure security, cybersecurity awareness, and industry best practices.
Core Competencies

Strong knowledge of security technologies including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and Vulnerability Management tools.

Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols.

Experience in Linux/Unix and Windows security administration and system hardening.

Knowledge of cloud security across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

Understanding of secure CI/CD practices and DevSecOps principles.

Knowledge of secure coding practices, code review, and the OWASP Top 10.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and PCI-DSS.
