Job Description
AB InBev is seeking a qualified and experienced Brewing Technical Expert to support continuous and sustainable improvements in product quality and manufacturing performance.
The role is responsible for ensuring consistent production and quality standards through effective management and optimisation of brewing processes, manufacturing technologies, quality systems, and operational practices.
The successful candidate will apply VPO principles, technical standards, process improvement methodologies, and quality governance requirements to improve brewing performance, reduce losses, strengthen process control, and support the successful implementation of innovation and improvement initiatives.
Key Purpose of the Role
The Brewing Technical Expert will facilitate and lead continuous improvement in product quality throughout the value chain.
The role will focus on:

Optimising manufacturing process technologies.

Maintaining consistent production and quality standards.

Ensuring compliance with AB InBev technical and quality requirements.

Applying VPO practices across brewing operations.
-
Supporting product and process innovation.
-
Improving operational efficiency and reducing waste.
-
Driving sustainable quality improvement.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Ensuring manufacturing processes comply with Global Technical Standards (GTS).
-
Implementing and controlling Brewing Technical Manuals and Process Technical Standards (PTS).
-
Conducting process audits in accordance with AB InBev requirements.
-
Maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.
-
Executing VPO implementation plans in accordance with VPO standards and the requirements of the seven VPO pillars.
-
Providing regular operational and technical feedback to the Brewing Manager and Zone Brewing Coordinators.
-
Supporting personal development and the development of other team members.
-
Ensuring agreed actions are completed on time and in accordance with VPO requirements.
-
Applying structured problem-solving and decision-making techniques to identify root causes.
-
Verifying the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
-
Ensuring problem-resolution processes are initiated according to OWS triggers and that the required workflow is followed.
-
Supporting process and product optimisation initiatives, including CAPIN, Value Analysis, projects, and operational trials.
-
Auditing quality, process, and work-practice standards to strengthen effective area management.
-
Collaborating with management and operations teams to ensure the appropriate stakeholders participate in problem-solving activities.

Managing and controlling fixed and variable costs, including sub-products.
-
Supporting initiatives aimed at reducing losses, waste, and unnecessary operational costs.

Ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of maintenance activities within the brewing area.
-
Supporting production and process optimisation through testing, Value Analysis, and CAPEX projects.
-
Applying performance management principles to improve individual and team performance.
-
Promoting and maintaining a positive industrial relations environment.

Applying effective personnel management practices.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should possess:

Bachelor’s Degree in Process Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a brewing, manufacturing, or production environment.
