Job Description
AUMS Geofields Tanzania Limited (AUMSGTL) is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Workshop Cleaner at Geita Gold Mine.

Position Purpose
The Workshop Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop and maintenance working environment.
The role provides cleaning and general housekeeping support to the maintenance team while ensuring full compliance with site Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities

Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures, and instructions.

Correctly use all required safety devices and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Immediately report hazardous situations, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within workshops, maintenance areas, and designated work areas.

Clean workshop floors, service bays, tools, equipment, and surrounding areas as required.

Collect, separate, and dispose of workshop waste in accordance with approved site procedures.

Clean minor oil, grease, and other workshop spills using approved materials and procedures.

Ensure walkways, access areas, and emergency exits remain clear and free from obstruction.

Safely use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals.

Report damaged, defective, or unsafe cleaning equipment to the immediate supervisor.

Report workplace hazards, spills, unsafe conditions, and other safety concerns.

Support maintenance personnel with general housekeeping before, during, and after maintenance activities.

Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness.

Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational instructions.

Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Completion of Secondary Education.
-
Previous experience in mining or heavy industry is preferable.
-
Basic First Aid knowledge or training.
-
Basic numeracy skills.
-
Basic written and spoken English.
-
Ability to drive a manual vehicle.
-
Valid Tanzanian Driver’s Licence.
-
General light maintenance skills.
