Job Overview
Active Mama is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Team Leader for its Marketing Team to build and expand its brand serving mothers, babies, and families across Tanzania. This role leads the marketing department in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing offline activations, driving retail brand visibility, coordinating product launches, and managing departmental budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage the marketing team in formulating, executing, and monitoring annual marketing plans and strategic growth initiatives.
Offline Marketing & Activations: Plan and oversee trade activations, in-store promotions, sampling campaigns, trade fairs, and community engagement events.
Trade Visibility: Drive brand presence and merchandising standard execution across key retail channels, including pharmacies, supermarkets, and general trade outlets.
AdvertisementCampaign & Budget Management: Coordinate new product launches, manage promotional budgets, track campaign metrics, and evaluate marketing ROI.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal sales, product development, and production teams, as well as external agencies and retail partners.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of overall marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or managerial role.
Demonstrated hands-on expertise in trade marketing, brand activation, merchandising, and consumer engagement.
Proven track record working with distributors, retail outlets, supermarkets, and pharmacies (FMCG, baby care, or personal care industry experience is a distinct advantage).
Strong leadership, negotiation, project management, and strategic communication skills.
