Reconciliation Manager Jobs at NBC Bank

NBC Bank is recruiting aReconciliation Managerto lead and manage the bank reconciliation function. The role is responsible for ensuring bank, general ledger, suspense, clearing, digital, card, mobile-money and Nostro accounts are reconciled accurately and within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations across bank, GL, suspense, clearing, digital, card, mobile-money and Nostro accounts.
• Ensure reconciliations are completed, reviewed, evidenced and attested within agreed service-level timelines.
• Oversee investigation, ageing, escalation and clearance of reconciling items and long-outstanding balances.
• Perform quality-assurance checks covering completeness, accuracy, segregation of duties and reconciliation standards.
• Prepare reconciliation dashboards and exception reports highlighting ageing, high-risk items and root causes.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with AML, sanctions, KYC and operational-risk requirements.
• Coordinate with branches, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Technology and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Lead, coach and develop reconciliation staff and promote automation and process standardisation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking operations, finance operations, reconciliations or financial controls.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, suspense accounts, clearing accounts, Nostro accounts, GL controls and settlements.
• Strong analytical, investigation, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and familiarity with core-banking or reconciliation systems.
