Geologist 2 – Exploration Technical Jobs at Geita Gold Mining Limited

Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML), part of AngloGold Ashanti, is recruiting aGeologist 2 – Exploration Technicalat Geita Gold Mine in Geita Region, Tanzania. The role is within the Geology and Exploration function under Requisition ID30996.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short-term exploration work programmes that feed into annual budgets and execution strategies.
• Supervise reconnaissance and resource-conversion drilling programmes.
• Analyse spatial geological data, conduct detailed mapping and core logging and manage QA/QC sampling.
• Develop 3D geological models using tools such as Leapfrog or Datamine.
• Coordinate junior geologists, field technicians and contractors while enforcing safety and ISO requirements.
• Track drilling expenditure, assess contractor performance and prepare technical progress reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology, Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in Geosciences.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on mineral exploration experience, particularly gold exploration and Greenstone Belt environments.
• Proficiency in 3D geological modelling and GIS software including Leapfrog, Datamine and ArcGIS.
• Strong geological interpretation and structural-control knowledge.
