Coordinator 1 – Environment Jobs at Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML)

Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML), part of AngloGold Ashanti, is recruiting aCoordinator 1 – Environmentfor a permanent position atGeita Gold Mine. The role supports environmental compliance across HME and LME operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and compliance with GGM safety and environmental procedures.
• Coordinate environmental inspections, communication schedules, checklists and audit activities.
• Enforce legal, hazardous-materials, waste-management and environmental requirements and follow up corrective actions.
• Support environmental awareness through training, toolbox meetings and technical guidance.
• Monitor waste segregation, 5S standards, spill kits, washing ponds, separators and hydrocarbon-spill controls.
• Report environmental issues and incidents promptly and track corrective-action plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Form Four Certificate.
• Trade-level certification in mechanical trades or relevant engineering/environmental studies.
• Grade One Trade Test Certificate, Diploma/FTC in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Environmental studies.
• Valid Tanzania driving licence.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environment and mobile equipment is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role responsible for a team of up to 20 people.
• Good Microsoft Office and SAP skills.
