Vodacom (Vodafone) Tanzania is seeking a highly skilled System Admin: M-PESA Applications Support to join our Local Technology team in Dar es Salaam. This critical role involves the end-to-end operational support of the M-Pesa core system and the management of its associated digital channels, ensuring a seamless mobile money experience for all end users.
Key Accountabilities
- System Management: Perform core system management for M-Pesa and maintain system security protocols.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance and availability of the M-Pesa mobile app across Android and iOS platforms.
- Issue Resolution: Respond to and resolve user-reported issues, crashes, and bugs in a timely manner.
- Analytics Tracking: Track app analytics and crash reports using tools like Firebase.
- Incident Management: Perform systems incident, problem, and change processes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Support: Execute Business Continuity Management, support Mini App Development, and assist all M-Pesa projects.

Core Competencies & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Proficiency in Operating Systems including Unix, Linux (RHEL, SUSE), and Windows.
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, GaussDB, MYSQL).
- Familiarity with Android and iOS platforms, mobile app architecture, and APIs.
- Strong understanding of mobile security best practices and mobile money platforms (M-Pesa knowledge is highly desirable).
