Compassion is recruiting aRegional Portfolio Lead – Africafor a multi-country portfolio that includes Tanzania. The role provides strategic leadership for emergency-response and disaster-preparedness programmes funded through a US Government grant.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for a regional humanitarian and resilience portfolio.
- Coordinate partner planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with US Government grant regulations and organisational policies.
- Oversee budget performance, pipeline management, forecasting and risk mitigation.
- Support capacity development, learning, donor reporting and business-development initiatives.
- Represent Compassion in donor engagements and regional coordination forums.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in International Development, Humanitarian Assistance, Emergency Management, International Relations, Public Administration or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience managing complex humanitarian, disaster-preparedness, resilience or international-development programmes.
- Experience managing multi-country portfolios and US Government-funded awards.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.
