Fixed Income Trader Jobs at Tanzania Securities Limited (TSL)

Tanzania Securities Limited (TSL) is recruiting aFixed Income Traderfor itsGlobal Marketsdepartment in Dar es Salaam. Reporting to the Head of Global Markets, the role will execute, manage and optimise government and corporate fixed-income trades for TSL's proprietary book and client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute buy and sell orders in Treasury Bills, Treasury Bonds and corporate bonds for proprietary and client mandates.
• Participate in Bank of Tanzania primary-dealer auctions and provide two-way pricing to institutional counterparties.
• Monitor yield-curve movements, interest-rate outlook and bond valuations to identify trading opportunities.
• Provide daily market updates, yield-curve commentary and trade summaries.
• Ensure timely settlement and compliance with CMSA, DSE and Bank of Tanzania requirements and internal risk frameworks.
• Maintain trading blotters, books and records and support audit readiness with Risk and Compliance teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in fixed-income trading, treasury or capital markets.
• Strong understanding of Tanzania's government-securities market, Bank of Tanzania auctions and DSE Bond Board operations.
• Licensed DATS Trader with the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, or eligible to obtain authorisation.
• ACI Dealing Certificate, postgraduate qualification in Finance or Economics, and SITI/CITI certification are preferred.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including Excel and Bloomberg.
• Fluency in English and Swahili and a strong ethical and compliance mindset.
