The role focuses on student welfare, supervision, discipline, mentoring and creating a safe, supportive boarding environment. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, health and well-being of students in the boarding environment.
- Guide and supervise students and ensure adherence to school rules, routines and study schedules.
- Promote and organise extracurricular activities and contribute to a positive family-like boarding atmosphere.
- Ensure students are neat, punctual, respectful and prepared for school activities.
- Uphold safety, security and child-protection procedures.
- Report and follow up issues affecting students promptly.
- Participate in meetings and training and serve as a positive role model.
- Work overnight and on weekends when required to support students and student activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- At least a Diploma in Education, Psychology or Counselling.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a School Matron in secondary schools within East Africa.
- Applicant must be Tanzanian and at least 30 years old.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong integrity, professionalism, empathy, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Previous medical or nursing experience is an added advantage.
